We are Mark and Christina, and our journey into the world of cacao did not begin in a kitchen, but on the dusty trails in the heart of Ecuador and Mexico.

It was here, in the midst of overwhelming nature, that we rediscovered cacao in its truest, most pure form. Far from supermarket shelves and industrial processes, we rediscovered a plant that was regarded as sacred — a source of both energy, clarity and deep connection to the earth. We saw how cacao was cultivated and honoured with respect for tradition. It was an eye-opener that put everything into perspective: why have we ended up with products filled with strange additives and unnecessary ingredients, when nature has already created something perfect?
