Ceremonial Cacao
Ceremonial Cacao refers to cacao traditionally used for mindfulness, healing and ceremonial contexts. I
n Mesoamerica, the Maya and Aztecs used cacao as a culturally and spiritually significant plant. Cacao was valued as a gift from the earth and was part of both ceremonies and daily rituals. Traditionally, Aribe national and Criollo beans have been preferred in these contexts due to their complex and refined flavour profile.
A traditional Ceremonial serving is typically 30–40 g of cacao per cup. To give a more intense flavour and also add more of the beneficial nutrients and active plant compounds like magnesium, iron, antioxidants, and theobromine, which support heart health, steady energy, and mood.
